A multispecialtyhospital in Doha, Qatar is looking to hire a Histopath Technician

The HistopathTechnician will be responsible for the following:
· Handlesand processes specimens from receipt to preparation of final slides, includingaccessioning, embedding, sectioning using a rotary microtome, staining andcover-slipping.
· Preparesfrozen sections of surgical material, including sectioning and staining.
· Performsindependent quality control for histochemical stains and immunohistochemistryand immunofluorescence by selecting appropriate control tissue and evaluatingand troubleshooting results.
· Performsdaily quality control, operation, troubleshooting and preventive maintenance ofall Histology/Cytology equipment (i.e. tissue processor, automatic steiner,cryostat, microtomes, embedding center, coverslipper, etc.).
· Preparesautopsy and surgical material for examination by a pathologist; assists in themaintenance and care of laboratory equipment; and does related work asrequired.
