We are currently in search of a General Paediatric Surgeon for a 1,400 total bed capacity multi-site JCI accredited tertiary hospital site in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This medical facility encompasses General, Pediatric and Maternity hospitals as well as Dental and Kidney Centres. Currently staffed by over 8,000 medical professionals, the medical facility has plans to increase their capacity to 2,000 beds over the next few years in order to continue to offer the most innovative and pioneering treatment to patients, as well as staying aligned with the increased healthcare demand.
Specialty towers are being established within their existing site, with more to be built. This includes the creation of the new Level 1 trauma center, the largest in the region, as well as incorporating specialized ICU and diagnostic technologies. Amongst the first phase of these developments includes a high-tech surgical tower with 480 private in-patient rooms, designed for maximum flexibility to accommodate a broad range of patient requirements.
The General Paediatric Surgeon will join the existing, highly skilled physician team and will required to participate in clinical audits and will be expected to be actively involved in clinical governance activities. The post holder will be responsible for the supervision and training of more junior surgical colleagues and to develop research interests relevant to this post.

Requirements:
• Board Certified Paediatric Surgeon
• Completed a minimum of 1 year Fellowship or Specialization training in Paediatric Surgery ( from USA/ UK/Australia/New Zealand/ South Africa/ or Europe) .
• With at least 3 years of experience following completion of fellowship or specialization training.
• Ability to take on full independent responsibility for clinical care of patients.
• Experience of supervising junior staff.
• Ability to teach clinical and operative skills.
• Involvement in the Clinical Audit process and an understanding of the aims thereof.
• Ability to organize and manage outpatient priorities.
