Accurately examine and diagnose disorders and chronic symptoms affecting the Immune system and musculoskeletal system of joints, muscles and bones causing pain, swelling, stiffness and deformity in patients. Devise pain relief treatment plans for a rheumatologic condition. Consult with patients to determine the appropriate course of treatment. Refer patients to a super specialist, as needed. Recommend and order tests to determine the extent of illness or help diagnose condition. He/She would instruct interns or residents in diagnosis and treatment of rheumatoid diseases. Record the patients’ health histories.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate must have a valid DHA/HAAD Specialist license/eligibility Specialist Rheumatologist in the UAE. He/She must have a Masters degree with a minimum 3-5 years post specialization experience in Rheumatology from a reputable health care organization. Fluent in spoken and written English. Spoken Arabic is desirable, however, not mandatory. Candidates must exemplify an expert track record in the practice of Rheumatology.
